Pillar 1: Data Centers & Economy
Real answers, not cheap slogans.
Dan grew up working trades, built infrastructure, and started businesses of his own. Today he teaches entrepreneurship at LCCC and mentors Wyoming founders. He knows how Wyoming builds an economy that works, because he's out there building it.
On data centers: Wyoming families deserve action on data centers now. Other states passed over 60 data center regulation bills in the last two years. Why not Wyoming? The Wyoming Freedom Caucus has controlled the State House and our HD11 seat for the last two years - but of our Legislature's 500-plus bills, not one was on data centers, aside from more tax breaks. Dan’s answer is simple. He'll write real protections from day one: siting rules that protect neighborhoods and rural land, enforced closed-cycle water and pollution standards, regulations on energy use so families and small businesses don’t foot the bill, and clear rules to hold corporations to higher standards.
On housing and property taxes: Rising costs need real answers, not slogans. Dan will bring honest analysis to solutions that actually stick, and that means keeping all taxes low. Trading property tax relief for a sales tax hike doesn't help working families; it just shifts who pays.
On red tape: Dan will cut the licensing barriers and red tape holding back Wyoming's workers and small businesses.
On jobs: Wyoming has a real shot at building a serious startup and tech economy. Dan mentors the next generation of founders directly and knows what it actually takes to grow good jobs here, not just chase companies that are already fully funded elsewhere.
Economic freedom starts with good jobs, fair taxes, and the room to build something of your own.
Pillar 2: Veterans + Service
He serves. He shows up.
Dan serves as a Space Operations Officer in the Air Force Reserve. His father served Cheyenne for 29 years as a firefighter. His grandfathers served in WW2 and one worked at the VA. Courage and service run in the family — showing up, doing hard things, and sticking around to see it through.
On military families: Being pro-military means more than a yard sign. It means real healthcare, housing, wages, and stability for military families and spouses, and cutting the red tape that keeps them from working here when they stay in Cheyenne.
On Wyoming's role: Space, defense, and technology aren't just military issues, they're Wyoming economic issues.
What Dan believes: Courage isn't being loud. It's showing up and doing the hard, unglamorous work, in uniform, and in the legislature.
Pillar 3: Education That Works
Wyoming kids. Wyoming careers.
Dan's mother founded Cheyenne's first Montessori school. His grandfather helped design LCCC’s buildings. Dan directs LCCC’s Wyoming Center for Business and Economic Analysis, teaches there, and coaches cross-country at East High School. Education runs in the family, and Dan believes choice and competition, paired with real accountability, make Wyoming schools stronger.
On preparation: Wyoming kids deserve to be prepared for Wyoming careers in technology, trades, energy, finance, agriculture, and more.
On choice: Dan supports real options for families, including homeschool, charter, and private education, with accountability for results.
On process: Good education policy means working with families, educators, and industry, not around them.
